aww man let me try to remember.
I had to set the table all the time and yea there was always
like proper arrangements that i always struggled to get right.
I think its like...big plate in the middle, small plate on the left( usually a napkin on top of it)...cup to the right...i believeeee fork is to the right and knife is to left.

There is no standard way to do this, depends heavily on what place do you go and in what social enviroment you are.., remember that Chile is a very long country where traditions and uses can vary dramatically.
I can assure you that more than 90% of the people here don't give a damn about this and in some places, they will make fun of you if care ;-)
The same than in the WASP countries.
