How can I copy and paste a table in Wikipedia to a text editor and keep it exactly the same?

I want to be able to copy and paste data tables from Wikipedia and keep them for offline storage. I've tried copying and pasting the data table's Wikitext code, but I don't know how to get a text editor to convert the code to text. I'm willing to download a text editor as long as it's freeware.How can I copy and paste a table in Wikipedia to a text editor and keep it exactly the same?
Already have Microsoft Excel? You can just use that. By using Excel, you can avail yourself to whatever other spreadsheet calculations you might want to do on the data with minimum hassle.

Just select the table in your Web browser, copy it (Ctrl-C), open a new Excel spreadsheet, paste it (Ctrl-V). You might have to widen some of the columns, but otherwise it's quite simple. I just tried it with a table from the article ';United States Senate elections, 2000';

I'm sure other spreadsheet programs (Star Office, Apple iWork, etc.) will also allow you to paste like that.

I hope I'm not telling you anything you haven't heard before when I tell you that you should regard any data you obtain from Wikipedia with caution; obtain the data from the original source whenever possible.How can I copy and paste a table in Wikipedia to a text editor and keep it exactly the same?
There is no need for fancy programs. Just copy and paste the table into word and it automatically keeps it the same as it is on Wikipedia.

But, very important. Make sure you select text above and below the table, too. You can always delete this extra text after it is in word.

I tried it just now on the page I give as a source. It works 100%.
Use a program called Snagit

How Do I stop My Kitten From Jumping On the table and eating from the trash?

We use plastic bags, tie them up and place them on the table.

The kitten jumps on the table, nips at the bag and eats whatevere he wants. We don't want to use trash barrels. We also don't eat at the table we put the trash on.

How Do I stop My Kitten From Jumping On the table and eating from the trash?
We use our fly swatter.. Not to hit them of course...we never hit them. But its a nice clean loud smack on the table itself. We had to do it about 3 times and never again have they even stepped up to the table.

Its the noise that got them.How Do I stop My Kitten From Jumping On the table and eating from the trash?
spray bottle with water. every time and right away...he/she will learn fast and it doesnt hurt them...they just usually hate water
I agree with the answers above....A spray bottle/loud noises does tend to work wonders, but as an addition, you may wish to purchase an all natural animal repellent to spray directly on the trash bags (it it's outdoors you may need to apply every 24 hrs or more). No brands come to mind, but I used to have some all natural apple cider based spray that I'd apply to the trash to keep my dog out of it and it did say it worked for cats as well. Worked quite well; just another thing to think about. Good luck!
get a spray bottle and fill it with water and spray him when he goes on the table or put the plastic bags somewhere else
Toss the bags into the back yard, or spray the bags with something that smells like orange, lemon, or banana; my cats just hate the smell of citris or any kind of rind or peel.

    Here are some legs:

    Here is an explanation of how to do it:

    http://www.ehow.com/how_4620079_folding-鈥?/a>How to make a table with colapsable legs?
    go look at books from home depot. I do that a lot.
    go get your mother/grandmother's card table and reverse engineer it

    (take it apart and recreate it using your new measurements.)
    i don't know any websites or vids but you can surely put hinges on it maybe
    Do a search for ';folding table legs';, and you can find sources for hardware that you bolt or screw to your own table. As far as the table itself, If you're trying to make a portable support for a train track, I would go with as light a grade of plywood as you can, and make a stiffening frame under it of 1 by 2s or so to give it a bit of stiffness. If you put a short block of 1 by 2 every 2 feet along the edge, and then a 1 by 2 on top of these that runs the full length of the table, it should make a reasonably lightweight table that still is strong enough to stand up to the load and to being moved around all the time.
    The same way you make a pretty lady, but use protection, sicko!
    Actually those decorating tables you can get from most DIY shops might do the trick. They are cheap too.

    If you bought two and put them side by side thry would be the size you want. It would probably work out cheaper than buying the raw materials to make one.

    You could place simple wooden catches underneath between the tables to strengthen

    How is the periodic table of elements composed, what are the numbers and abbreviations?

    I don't need to know details about the elements, but know which is the atomic number/mass, and the... make-up of a single box on the table of elements. I can't exactly say what I'm trying to ask.

    I am asking about in a box what is what.How is the periodic table of elements composed, what are the numbers and abbreviations?
    The letters refer to the atomic symbol for the element

    The smaller number (always a whole number) usually on the upper left is the atomic number and is the number of protons which equals the number of electrons for stable atoms.

    The larger usually non whole number (like 12.011) is the atomic mass. it is actually a weighted average atomic mass for all the known isotopes of that element. FYI. essentially all the mass is found in the nucleus of the atom (the protons + the neutrons).

    The number of neutrons = the atomic mass - the atomic number

    Remember this. The number of protons dictates the element. The number of electrons = the number of protons unless you have an ion. The number of neutrons can vary and the same elements with different numbers of neutrons are called isotopes.

    For example Uranium (atomic symbol U) has atomic number 92. That is, it has 92 protons and 92 electrons. U235 has 143 neutrons. why? U238 has 146 neutrons. again why? (hint 238-92 = ?)

    The atomic mass of U is calculated by considering that 99.3% of naturally occuring U is 238 and 0.7% is U235. (.993*238 + .007*235 = weighted average atomic mass).

    The rows and columns indicate the electronic configuration and how the atom bonds.How is the periodic table of elements composed, what are the numbers and abbreviations?
    Lexa. Good luck in your studies. let me know if i can be of further assistance. my background, fyi, is chemical engineering.

    Report Abuse

    The smaller number is the atomic number (the number of protons in the atom), the larger one is the atomic mass. If there's only one number, it's the atomic number. The letter or letters are an abreviation for the name of the element; sometimes it has to do with what we call the element in English, like H for hydrogen or Li for lithium, and sometimes it comes from another language, such as Pb for lead from the Latin word plumbum.
    Ok look at Carbon (which is the letter C on the table). The Mass = 12.01 amu or grams and the atomic number is 6. They're on the periodic table too!

    How do I puppy proof the coffee table legs?

    I will be welcoming a new Siberian Husky puppy at the end of the month. I have been doing research and this breed has a tendency to get bored easily. I don't want her to take her natural instincts of chewing out on my coffee table. I just wanted to know what the best way to protect the table is?

    Thanks in advance.How do I puppy proof the coffee table legs?
    Have lots of chew toys handy. Praise when she's chewing on her chew toys. If you catch her in the act of gnawing on your coffee table, tell her NO, then give her one of her toys... then praise.

    Use this will all your training. Dogs want to make their owners happy. Praise when they are doing something that they are supposed to. If you catch them in the ';act'; of the bad behavior (and not after the fact), correct, re-direct, and praise.How do I puppy proof the coffee table legs?
    When you are not able to watch her, put her in her crate. If she does start to chew on the legs when you are with her, you need to tell her a firm NO and give her an appropriate toy that she is allowed to have. She needs to learn that the legs of a coffee table, kitchen table or whatever table is NOT a chew toy.
    Table legs are more difficult to protect because you can't simply move them. Bitter Apple sprays are available for use on furniture. This spray makes items taste bad to dogs and cats. It is recommended to first spray on a hidden area.

    good luck with your little one!!!!
    Put the coffee table n the basement. Puppies are incorrigible.
    I had the same problem with my staffy when he was about 10 weeks old......a little bit hot mustard (or chilli if you prefer) on the legs of the table (if you want, put some cardboard or something around the legs incase it damages the finish) and once your dog tastes that hot mustard/chilli, he/she shouldnt go near it again

    :D
    you can do what the other people before me said but you can also buy this stuff called Bitter Apple. they sell it at pets mart. its a spray that you spray on anything you don't want your pup to chew. it worked great for my dog to stop taking food out of the trash can. just spray it on the legs and as soon as the puppy tastes it it will stop.
    I've always found putting bitter apple spray on any surface prevents the dog from chewing on it. Bitter Apple Spray is available at most pet stores.
    put some PVC pipe around the legs.. you can get different sizes of PVC and different thicknesses too

    also, if ya wanna, you could put the sour apple stuff for dogs and cats to keep em from chewing on the PVC too

    we had to use the PVC pipe when our golden was a puppy and it worked amazingly too :)
    Supervision and crating. Supervision is having the puppy tethered to you at all times when not in her crate. When the puppy gets a bit older and more trustworthy, she can graduate to a drag line that you can grab or step on to stop her from destructive chewing or even just starting to play ';keep away';, which can be bad for later training on ';come';. Puppies earn the run of the house. It's not automatic.

    How to create a excel form or table that linked to another excel spreadsheet and draw data to print?

    Hi Pros,

    I have an excel spreadsheet, with customer info listed in rows and I need to create another user form or table that can show a chosen row from the spreadsheet each time in a customized table.

    Please help me on this...

    Thanks a loooot and happy holidays!How to create a excel form or table that linked to another excel spreadsheet and draw data to print?
    You don't have enough info in your question to give a complete answer but this looks like you can create a form where you access data via either a vlookup or hlookup using your current spreadsheet.

    maybe add more detail to your question.

    How to make a table out of empty wine bottles?

    I have some empty wine bottles from a wine and cheese party I hosted and I am in the process of redecorating and thought I could reuse before I recycle. Has anyone made a table out of empty wine bottles and can describe how to do it? Pictures would be great too. By the way, I have already run a google search -- so please don't just spit those results back to me.How to make a table out of empty wine bottles?
    First, you will probably want to cut down some of the bottles. For this, you will need a glass cutter: http://www.khue.com/dept/cutt/bott.htm

    Aside from that, I have never made a table out of empty bottles of any kind. I am a huge advocate of reusing something for another purpose, and think you have a great idea. However, if you've already run a google search, and don't want me to ';just spit those results back to'; you, then this is where my answer ends.

    Good luck.How to make a table out of empty wine bottles?
    break all the bottles, add some lime, coke and ash put them in a crucible and set oven to 5000deg F then pour resultant glass fluid into the table mould. set aside to cool and voila your own glass table.

    How do you use table salt to kill fleas and what are the downfalls of using salt. How well does it work?

    I don't have animals but we have a flea problem. They are eating me alive and my apartment is taking their time on fixin the problem. I am a mom with two young boys so I don't want to use harmful chemicals and I don't have the money for it either. I have heard that table salt kills them. Is this true and will it last for at least a week and a half? Thanks for your help!How do you use table salt to kill fleas and what are the downfalls of using salt. How well does it work?
    Never heard of salt killing flees, If they are that bad, I would suggest buying a Flee Bomb or even use some 7DustHow do you use table salt to kill fleas and what are the downfalls of using salt. How well does it work?
    tell the managment that you will sue. It is a serious problem. You can also call the heath department. I have a dog, but I spray the house with Ortho Home Defence Max. Get the easy spray one at any Home depot, Lowes, Ace its under 15.00 and you get a gallon It is safe, you spray it along the basesboards or there are safe sprays for flees at the pet stores but the Ortho works on all bugs. Oh and to make you feel better do it when the kids are asleep. They wont be in the way...I have never heard of salt killing fleas just slugs.
    Salt of any kind will not kill fleas, and you have 2 issues:

    ';One'; - The apartment manager should be contacted ASAP, not only for you and your family, but for the neighbors as well. It will do no good to treat your area alone.

    ';Two'; - While your waiting on the manager to do his work, go to walmarts, and buy the Flea Foggers, for you square footage. It is a small price to pay, to keep you %26amp; boys flea free for a short time. Read The Directions Carefully, and Air Room After.
    Go to wal mart a buy a couple of flea but bombs. Close the windows let them off and leave the house for the time on the label. You may not be able to stop the problem, if someone else in you place has the fleas.. They WHOLE place has to be done. They come back to easy. Call you landlord and tell him the problem, and do all the apartments and once. You have a health hazard.. Good Luck
    EASY SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM ,MOTH CRYSTALS ,SPRINKLE EVERYWHERE THERE IS CLOTH, WASH ALL CLOTHING AND BEDDING AND ANYTHING THAT IS REMOVABLE. MOTH CRYSTALS KILLS THE EGGS SO LEAVE APT FOR AT LEAST 12 HRS THEN VACUUM THOROUGHLY WHEN YOU RETURN GET A BOTTLE OF RID-A -BUG AND SPRAY ALL CRACKS AND WINDOW,LEDGES AND DOOR OPENINGS , TAKE PETS WITH YOU WHEN YOU PUT MOTH CRYSTALS DOWN,DON'T FORGET UNDER ALL CUSHIONS AND JUST SPRINKLE CRYSTALS AROUND CARPETED WALLS LIGHTLY WILL HELP KEEP THYEM FROM RETURNING
    I have never heard of using table salt but there is something that you can use that is just as safe as table salt. Boric acid can be sprinkled along baseboards and cracks and anywhere else that the fleas may go. They get it on them and carry it back to their nest and contaminate the rest of them. It causes chemical burns on them and then they die. Borax is the same chemical makeup as boric acid and can be used as well.
    Contact your local building inspector and have a talk with them. They can put pressure on the land-lord to get it done or get fined.

    How can I get my husband to move the table to make room for the baby crib?

    We live in a place that was furnished when we moved in, but now that we are expecting, (in two weeks) we need to move a huge table out of the way for a crib. There is nowhere to move it except outside (covered) husband says no. We do not not know how expensive this table is, and he does not want to ruin it.. but will not give me any other ideas.

    I could give a $hit less about this damn table, it is not more important than our childs safety!How can I get my husband to move the table to make room for the baby crib?
    I know this might sound really weird, but can you flip the table upside down and put the crib on top of it? Or can you take off the legs and turn what's left of the table on it's side?How can I get my husband to move the table to make room for the baby crib?
    DONT MAKE HIM DINNER LOL. then theres no use for the table
    tell him he needs to set the crib up an u think ur in labour, make it his responsability, if he wont move the table then tell him he needs to pick something else to move cos baby cant sleep outside and its EXTREMELY dangerous having baby in bed with u two
    me what i did to my fiance was i let him take out all his clothes out of the closet and told him if you don't want the table out then guess what you and your clothes sleep on it. cause wen the baby comes he's sleeping with me.
    call your land lord and tell them that you need the table moved in order to make room for the baby, if they wont pick it up then ask if it can be put outside, if they ok it then there's nothing to worry about.
    call the landlord and explain that you need it out of there. ask if there is somewhere they would like it or for them to come and get it. if they don't respond then forget it and put it outside, put a blanket or tarp over it if hubby is really worried
    Your baby will be safe with a table near by, they don't attack. It will be quite a while before he/she is crawling. I agree, if that table is ruined then you will have to pay the owner for it and it could be very expensive. My dining table was $5000, what if it's that expensive? You should call your landlord and explain that you are expecting a baby and that you would like it if they could remove the table from the home. If you are very courteous, maybe they will work with you in putting it in storage. Or maybe they will sell it. You need to give the owner of the table the options.
    The table stays the baby goes. Thats it. No more discussion!!!
    Call the landlord and explain the problem, I'm sure they will understand. If that's not possible, just keep the baby in a bassinet for a couple of months, then when the baby is bigger bring baby to bed with you. I'm sure your ';husband'; will think of something then, especially if you say, ';No sex with the baby in the room.';
    I agree with those who said make it your husband's responsibility. Sometimes we think we've got the one and only answer to a problem and get frustrated when others disagree. If you ask your husband what else you could do instead, he might come up with an answer you both can live with. If that doesn't work, I say go with calling the landlord.
    Draw a diagram of the house, and draw little figures of where all the furniture is, label them. Try to make the spaces between furniture as accurate as you can. Then sit down with your husband and tell him you'd like to brainstorm where you can fit the crib. This sort of open ended question, if put the right way, can encourage him to come up with helpful ideas instead of pounding against a brick wall that neither of you can seem to agree on.

    Who knows, he might get the point that the only place for the crib is where the table is and he'll come around.
    Can the crib go anywhere else? What about using a pack-n-play with a bassinet insert for a while? I'd suggest having your baby sleep with you since it lets you and baby get more sleep and helps develop a strong nursing relationship, but co-sleeping is only safe if you can do it safely (no drinking, drugs, over the counter meds that make you loopy, excessive bedding, you not being over weight, baby between you and wall instead of you and hubby).

    Is there honestly nowhere else for you to put the crib, or no where else for your baby to sleep?

    I know you say you could care less about the table now, but wait until you're ready to move out and the landlord charges you an excessive amount to replace the table because it was somehow damaged (even though it probably wasn't) because you put it outside.

    Maybe ask the landlord to remove it for you.
    I took the legs off the table and planted it behind the couch . another home we had I went on a twin bed in the dinning room the table went into the living room next to the front door we needed three bedrooms had just 2. It did not hurt that I worked nights and slept while the kids were in school. LOL try to think of other alternatives
    Go girl! Don't give a $hit about the table. You are right, your baby is way more important and its saftey is way more important too!!
    oh god sounds like he needs to get his priorities straight. Ask him which he would prefer the table outside or the crib. I like the first answer.

    Typically what I do in that case is to copy it into notepad first, and then copy from notepad to word.

    This sounds like a homework assignment that you're asking for help on. However, I'm not one to judge. Here is the algorithm

    // The max for the left section of the table

    int x;

    // The max for the top section of the table

    int y;

    for(int temp1 = 1; temp1 %26lt; x; temp1++)

Any suggestions on how to remove?How do you remove pledge stains from a wood table?
    Yes you need to remove the excess wax with a solvent then reapply a new layer. I suggest you try methylated spirits (or you can use left-over spirit like vodka or gin), but a much better solvent is white spirit, which you can get from a hardware(DIY) store. Clean the entire surface with a cloth soaked with solvent do this once then turn the cloth and do a second time rubbing hard to remove old wax/polish. Leave to dry for min or two then reapply table polish

    With all due respect there is no such thing; at least not in the context of STONES. Certainly there arte various colors of CRYSTALS, which are also not STONES, but your notion would be prohibitively expensive with CRYSTALS.

    I have a suspicion what you have and consider is glass or acrylic.

    In some level of seriousness I have a suggestion. Probably as expensive as Crystal. Find online or elsewhere CLEAR plexi tubing/pipe at some substantial diameter, and at the very least use TWO in two different diameters, adding those colored STONES to fill the space between the two sizes of pipe, you could even light them internally, Since you don't state any design or style, you could create a Plexi BOX even an inch or two thick in a shape for the top, add your colored STONES and fix the legs to it.How can I make a coffee table out of clear stones?

    How much time will pass before the block falls off the table from when the other block is released?

    A 12 kg block on a table is connected by a string to a 26 kg mass, which is hanging over the edge of the table. If the 12 kg block is 1.5 m from the edge of the table, how much time will pass before the block falls off the table from when the other block is released? Assume that frictional forces may be neglected.How much time will pass before the block falls off the table from when the other block is released?
    Let:

    m1 be the mass on the table,

    m2 be the suspended mass,

    g be the acceleration due to gravity,

    a be the acceleration of the system,

    T be the tension in the string,

    x be the distance of m1 from the edge of the table,

    t be the time before it falls.

    For the block on the table:

    T = m1 a

    For the suspended block:

    m2 g - T = m2 a

    Adding these equations:

    m2 g = (m1 + m2)a

    a = m2 g / (m1 + m2)

    The acceleration satisfies:

    x = at^2 / 2

    t^2 = 2x / a

    t = sqrt[ 2x(m1 + m2) / (m2 g) ]

    = sqrt[ 2 * 1.5(12 + 26) / (26 * 9.81) ]

    = 0.669 sec.

    How to remove scratches from marble table?

    I recently purchased a beautiful marble top dining room table. Upon inspection, I noticed a slight red stain, which I removed with a cleaning sponge, but unfortunately used the abrasive side of the sponge. Now I have a dull/scratched area (but the stain is gone). It's a small area (about 2 inches) but it bothers me that it is there, especially as the table is new!

    Does anyone have a home remedy to remove this kind of scratch from the marble? I do know NOW that marble is very sensitive! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.How to remove scratches from marble table?
    My Mom has a marble entryway in her apartment. We went to Home Depot to find out how to shine up the marble. The person who helped us told us that we should use a marble cleaner with a soft cloth...apparently, you're not even supposed to get much water on marble. As far as the scuff marks, she said that we should really look into getting a marble polisher...a person who specializes in polishing marble to do the floor.

    You might want to call a granite/marble tile or kitchen counter store in your neighborhood and find out if they have a special trick for your table.

    Good luck. I can only imagine how broken hearted you are about this.How to remove scratches from marble table?
    If it is dark-coloured...

    You need some soot or ashes.

    Place some over the scratches then use an old unwanted cloth to wipe away the excess, and the soot/ashes will cover the scratches and the table will be like brand new!!
    Home depot and Lowes carry a product called ';Gell Gloss'; for polishing and removing small scratches out of marble/granite. It worked pretty well on my countertops. Next time you find a stain, get a marble/granite specific cleaner, which is non abrasive.
    you have to go to the tile shop and get some built prof if you get a Chip you can fix that with super glue by putting the glue in the hole and thin holed a razorblades start up and down when it drys go back and forth evenly or just go by a re pear kit good luck

    When should you resize your hash table to a smaller one?

    I'm using a Hashtable with seperate chaining.

    After deteting enough elements in a hash table, it starts to look empty and wastes space. To be as effcient as possible i want to resize it to be smaller. If i'm currently re-hashing to a larger table when there are twice as many elements as table size, how empty should the table be before i should re-hash to a smaller table size?When should you resize your hash table to a smaller one?
    In a hash table a common measure is the number of filled slots divided by the number of slots. This is commonly called the ';load factor.'; Maybe when the load factor drops to 0.5 (half empty)? It is your call.

    How do you move a pool table with a three piece slate. Need step by step directions and difficulty?

    I have three piece slate table want to take out the slate and move the table and did not know how long this will take of how difficult it is. Especially when removing the felt. How to remove and re-glue. Not sure of the options, but do know that I prefer to do it my self and not hire it out. I am good and learning these types of things but want to reseach the best method before I start.How do you move a pool table with a three piece slate. Need step by step directions and difficulty?
    when the rails%26amp;felt are removed you must take chalk%26amp;mark each piece of slate so you can put them back together exactly the way they came off. when putting back together level the bed first then start putting the slate back on , just make sure you mark every thing first.How do you move a pool table with a three piece slate. Need step by step directions and difficulty?
    If you cannot move the table yourself, and you MUST take it apart, firstly, the felt is NOT glued, its stretched. You'll have to have it re-felted by a professional. This is not terribly expensive, they will come to your house.

    Secondly, its not very hard to get it apart, but it will still take 3-4 strong healthy young guys to move EACH PIECE of slate (I cannot express strongly enough - this stuff is HEAVY!)

    thats about it. Don't kid yourself, think this through - its a HUGE PITA!

    http://www.pooltablerefelting.com/refelt鈥?/a>
    Not to hard , climb underneath you will see the bolts that hold the table together, and find the screws that hold on the side rails ,

    the disassembly is pretty straightforward leave the legs and main rails only until the stones are gone .

    The felt isnt glues down, shouldn't be anyway, the stones are joined with wax and leveled with a straight edge for reassembly .
    They showed how on This Old House this season. It was the Newton Project, it was on about three weeks ago. See if you can find a copy. It was an antique three piece slate. They disassembled it on one episode and then two episodes later they reassembled it.

    How do I make a temporary table top?

    I would like to make a temporary large table top say 8ft x 4ft to fit on top of our smaller table. Thinking of using a couple of pieces of MDF 8 x 2 and hinging or joining some other way. Does anyone have any ideas how best to do this?How do I make a temporary table top?
    sure a 4 by 8 sheet of ply wood would make a fine temp table, sturdy too...use a smooth finsh with the good side upHow do I make a temporary table top?
    Could you get a hollow core door and lay that on top. It would store easily behind a sofa or under a bed.
    A 4x8 sheet of mdf or plywood will work fine.I've done this for large family getherings.

    I put an old sheet on it first and then a table cloth.
    Stefan,

    I had to make a similar top at one point. I took a 4 x 8 (48 x 96 inches) sheet of 5/8 inch MDF and cut it into 3 pieces, each 48 x 32 inches. This size piece is easy to store in a closet when not in use.

    I used 4 pieces of 94 inch long 1 x 2 inch strips on the bottom as stiffeners and to join the pieces. I used 1/4 inch flathead machine screws, about 1-3/4 inches long, with a wing nut to attach the strips. These were inserted from the top and countersunk to be flush with the temporary table top. The two innermost strips were placed to fit snugly against the base table the temporary top was mounted on. This prevented anyone bumping the top and moving it off balance.

    Depending on the size of your base table this may need to be modified to ensure that the top is supported.

    If this isn't clear please let me know.

  • How do you attach a glass table top to a nontraditional base?

    My husband and I have had the idea to create a dining table by using a large barrel with a glass table top. How would you attach the glass to the barrel?How do you attach a glass table top to a nontraditional base?
    There are some things to consider.

    The table top should be tempered glass and thick enough to be safe.

    It should be in proportion to the base of the barrel--if it is to wide it will tip easily when leaned on, etc. If you want something that will seat more than 4 people, you should consider 2 barrels and an oval cut piece of glass. You will need to be sure that it is tall enough for chairs to fit under also.

    I don't think you would want to see Gorilla Glue through the top of your table

    Try getting some good clear tubing that is about the same size as a garden hose--it will need to be the thick walled type. It should be about 1/2 inch shorter than the circumference of the top of the barrel.

    Cut a continuous slit in the tubing and slide the tubing onto the top rim of the barrel. This will cause a non slip surface for the top to rest on.

    Securing it at the floor level to keep the barrel from tipping

    is also something to think about and can be done with wooden braces attached at compass points to the barrel.

    Hope this helps.How do you attach a glass table top to a nontraditional base?
    If the barrel is stable and level, and the glass is good and thick, I'd just put some kind of pads (foam or felt) on the top of the barrel, then place the glass on it. The weight should hold it there. I used to have a coffee table like that.
    Some foam on the top of the barrel, and some gorilla glue on the glass %26amp; foam attached to the barrell. Note: there are different types of gorilla glue make sure it says for glass
    You need to buy a very heavy glass with beveled edges. The weight of the table will pretty much hold it in place. You can place rubber tabs so that is doesn't slide easy. Good luck.

    Using a table saw for long cut?

    I'm using a table saw for the first time. I am building a deck railing that will require a long 7 foot cut at a diagnole angle down a 2';X';8'; piece of wood. Can I use a table saw to make this cut? Do I have to remove the kickback protector to do it? Seems the wood will strike the backside of this about 12 inches in. Also it will be hanging off the end of the table several feet to achive the 6-7 foot cut. any saftey tips on how to best do this? Thanks!Using a table saw for long cut?
    This is not a good cut to attempt on your first use of a table saw. Can be very risky.

    If you want to attempt it, practice on some small blocks, maybe a foot long before you attempt the long cut.Using a table saw for long cut?
    You should have someone hold the other end up so the cut will be more accurate.
    I work with wood, but I would carefully think this one through,sounds like your in for an accident if you don't. There are roller stands that can help hold the wood up,I think this might be a two person job. Please be carefull,OK?
    get some kind of stand and will not be a problem

    just remember 1 thing

    BLOOD WILL CAUSE THE SAW TO RUST

    a helper is good if they know what they are doing but are dangerous if they don't
    If your new to using a tablesaw I would use a straight-edge tacked, or clamped to the board and make the cut with a circular saw. The possibility for kick-back on a tablesaw making this cut is high. You need outfeed support,hold-downs, featherboard and a push-stick to make a safe cut. Do not use a helper on the outfeed side any movement from side to side could cause kick-back.
    I would recommend that you not use a table saw for this cut, purely because you are new to a table saw. I'm with Steven K on this although I would use a Jigsaw freehand and then plane or belt-sand the edge to size.

    If you desperately feel the need to use your table saw, this is the way I would do it. You need a straight piece of wood 3/4'; x 6'; x 8' which you nail or screw to the handrail across the diagonal, leaving 6'; overhang at each end. This piece of wood is going to run against the fence. Buy yourself a roller support, it's not worth trying to make one as they cost next to nothing. Do not use a helper, they are never on the same page as you and the smallest deviation from the fence will cause problems. Make sure the blade is sharp, you want this to cut without any resistance, the harder you have to work to make the cut the more likely you are to make a mistake. Set the blade depth so half of the highest tooth is showing above the wood. With your template against the fence, make the cut.

    Riving knives and blade guards are a personal preference, I take mine off because I feel better when I can see where my soft pink bits are in relation to the blade.

    Hope this helps, it's seems straight forward to me but I've been doing this for what seems like forever.

    How can I stop my table row numbers from changing after deleting a row?

    I have a table in Word that has 9 rows..I have written some code in VBA to delete certain rows when a button is pressed. The problem is that when a row is deleted in the table, it re-numbers my remaining rows. Any suggestions on how to work around this??How can I stop my table row numbers from changing after deleting a row?
    There's no way to keep the row numbers from changing on a delete or an insert. I suggest you look into making your VBA code smarter, possibly through the use of a named range rather than a fixed row number. That would make the reference move with the renumbering.

    Hope that helps.

    How can I get my cat out of my dinner table?

    It's just so annoying. My 7 months old male cat likes to jump onto our dining table. We can't leave any food on the table out of our sight for a minute. He sits on the table and looks at us eventhough the table is clean.How can I get my cat out of my dinner table?
    Everytime you see him on the table, clap your hands and say ';NO'; very loudly and firmly.

    Or get a can and fill it with pennies, shake that while saying no instead of clapping your hands.

    My Vet told me that's the best way to break a cat of a bad behavior.

    Good luck!How can I get my cat out of my dinner table?
    simply push it off the cat walks through its fecies and the last thing you want is there fieces on your table
    7 months old is still fairly young for a cat. He's still learning what he can get away with.

    Push him off the table (or lift him up and set him on the floor) and ignore him. Praise him when he leaves you alone during dinner. Pay attention to him outside of the dining room. Positive reinforcement is the way to go with training animals.
    Yell at him then trow him off give him a gentle swat.
    I've had cats all my life and found that a squirt gun is the greatest training device for cats. Eventually, even the motion of reaching for the gun will deter your cat from bad behavior.
    you can try something like a water spray and when ever he jumps up spray his face or making a loud noise to startle him, this may seem to work but you'll probably find it just makes him more sneaky, and he'll at least wait till your not there.
    get a spray bottle and spray it w/ water every time he goes on the table. my cat always used to bother fish in the fishtank and try to get them and i got a spray bottle and did the same thing good luck!
    squirt gun is a great training tool all the way around for cats it will get to the point you don't even have to squirt it. Or one thing i did I put duct tape sticky side up when the neighbors cat took up housekeeping on my porch once walks on it they will know not to go on it again
    Unforetunately, he's at the age of defiance like a teenager. Never hit your cat to get him down. One way my husband and I found to train our cats to stay off of the table is to use a spray bottle with water and just a pinch of vinegar as they hate the smell of vinegar. Only use a pinch of vinegar though as your cat has to lick it off and you don't want to make him sick. Don't comfort your cat when he comes to you for attention afterwards. Reinforce that you mean what you say and did with the words bad boy!

    The other very effective thing we do is a deep growl. Don't do this often, but walk near your cat with the deepest growl you can muster up. It is natural for them to want to get away from that as they don't have a clue if they might become dinner. My husband is much better at this than I am and our cats will actually run and hide when they hear this sound. They can be in a completely different room, but if they're doing something they know they're not supposed to do, they actually cower to the sound and stop doing it. Completely ignore your cat so that he understands that what he was doing was wrong.

    As to always keeping your cat off the table, you can curb his interest with lots of other places where he can climb. Create special areas for him to jump up on near windows - even stacked plastic storage tubs will work as long as they're not able tip and fall on your cat.

    But bottom line, cats will be cats and some just can't resist the table when you turn your back. I think it becomes a game of seeing if they can get the forbidden fruit or in this case, on top of the table since he knows that you don't want him there.

    Be patient with him and he will eventually figure out that good boys get lots of attention but bad boys get growled at or squirted and ignored. It is very important to reinforce good behavior with lots and lots of what a good boy you are when he's where he should be, or using the scratcher, etc. Positive reinforcement will become what he will strive for in the end. It has always worked with my cats my whole life - which isn't young. Your cat will want to do what pleases you to get the good attention, so love and pampering unlimited for life is the cure!
    My cat has never done that. If it did, I'd slap it and it'd never do it again.

    Put the cat outside or in another room if you live in an apartment. They say one way you can train a cat not to do something is with a water gun.
    I absolutely agree with the answer from David.... you have to squirt the cat with water - SCARE it - it's aversion therapy and very effective. Don't think of it as cruelty because it doesn't hurt the cat... just think of it as training, and consider that it will be happier if you are happier with it's behavior.

    How import a table as excel file in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express?

    I really need to just export a table as an excel because trying to do it manually by just copy/pasting is kind of painstaking and I have a lot of table to export... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    P.S.

    I am not that familiar with the tool that I'm using. Already tried to explore on the applications but I can't seem to find an option to export a table and I did search the net but seems they will use BCP to export table.

    Thanks.How import a table as excel file in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express?
    Do you have installed the BIDS part of the SQL package installed?

    (Business Intelligence Development Studio)

    This is the part of SQL that allows you to import data.How import a table as excel file in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express?
    You don't need BIDS. From Management Studio, right click on the database that contains the table you want to export. The menu will have an option of 'Tasks', hover over tasks, then choose Export Data (near the bottom). This will open the export wizard. The first page is the data source, which should be set to what you have open; change this if you want a table from another database. The second window is the destination; from Data source, choose Microsoft Excel, then the path where you want the spreadsheet saved. Type in the name of the spreadsheet if you are creating one from scratch. The third page is where you can either choose a whole table/view or write a query.

    How should i set my table for prom dinner?

    My friends and i are having our prom dinner at home to save money.

    We need some ideas of what we need to buy to set the table and some ideas of cute table settings.

    ******* we don't want to spend too much we're trying to save money and we have 8 people eating with us in total.How should i set my table for prom dinner?
    hm, try using what you have. If your parents or your friends' parents have a nice china set or nice silverware, ask them if you can borrow/use it. Try using a nice plain table cloth and drink out of wine glasses or champagne flutes. Use nice serving dishes and try to find some cloth napkins, parents normally have this stuff for special occasions like holidays and whatnot. I think it would be cute if you set it all up kind of like a restaurant. Here's a link: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2181/1585鈥?/a>

    I think it was really fun how they folded the napkins pretty and put them on the plate with a little flower tucked inside. Flowers can get expensive, but my mom always likes to have fresh flowers on the table. Try to see if you can just get a centerpiece(vase with flowers) for the middle of the table and just tuck in a name card/place card instead. Type them in a pretty font and print them, then cut them out and center them on a colored piece of card stock(really cheap at craft stores), gluing them down. It will be easier to accomplish all of this if you ask parents for help. Ask each guest %26amp; their parents ahead of time what they can offer to use for the dinner. Don't stress out! It'll be fun and you'll have a great time! :)

    here's a link to fold napkins too:

    with a basket of condoms..lol
    Set the table with some pretty plates and cloth napkins folded into pretty fans or something special.

    http://www.napkinfoldingguide.com/

    Make sure that you have the silverware sparkling and properly set with a salad fork, include a bread plate, chilled salad bowls, and some type of stemmed goblet for your drink. A sparkling juice would be a nice touch.

    If you could get someone to serve you that would be an awesome touch.

    Have fun and enjoy your prom night.
    A table setting suggestion is to wrap the setting up to look like a package. Get pretty wide grosgrain ribbon.....then place all plates/bowls on top of dinner plate....a rolled napkin is set on top of last plate or bowl (napkin faces up and down from you, not crosswise). Then take the ribbon and carefully start wrapping from top going around, crossing over underneath dinner plate and returning to top to make a nice bow over the napkin. If you'd like to personalize it for them...attach a place card using a hole punch and thread through the ribbon before tying .

    Goblets are placed above the plate to the right a bit and silverware is beside the dinner plate.

    A vase or vases of flowers can run down the table...get them low enough so you can see over them easily enough...the rectangle ones are a nice contemporary look...can use flowers all one color (carnations or whatever) cut to the same height and placed in vase (s) where just the blooms pop up over the edge of vase---many are crammed together to fill vase. If you use candles....use tea lights and place them around the table (taper candles are too tall and again, get in the way of conversation).

    Now, depending on how crazy you want to get with the ribbon...if your chairs allow it, you can tie same ribbon around the inside slats (if you have them) and let the bow show on the back of each chair.

    How can I find a table base to support a granite table top?

    I am having a 60'; x 60'; granite table top being made for my kitchen. I need to find a base that will support alot of weight but still be decorative. I do not have preference as to whether it is wood or wrought iron.How can I find a table base to support a granite table top?
    Do you ever plan to move this table? Sixty inches by sixty inches is not an optimum table size. Do you plan to entertain in your kitchen? Lose the granite table top and find something more manageable and a better size for a lot less money. You are just creating headaches for yourself. If you want to sell your house someday, this will certainly be a negative...never get your money out of it. End of story.How can I find a table base to support a granite table top?
    I agree with Intelligent-- but if you insist-- talk to the stone folks making the top-- they should know where to get a base to support all that weight.

    What is the formula for finding the values on a z-score table?

    Many places tend to direct me to probability distribution tables when I try to find the formula for calculating the actual values on the table. For example:

    mean = 100

    Standard dev = 15

    Raw score = 120

    z score = 1.33

    On a table, this is no problem to find, but in a scenario when I do not have a table, how do I calculate to find the percentile or (whatever the value of .9082 is called) on the table?What is the formula for finding the values on a z-score table?
    Do you know integral calculus?

    You plug into your calculator, y = e^(鈭抸虏) / 鈭?蟺)

    Then you integrate that with respect to z, from 鈭掆垶 (as the lower limit of integration) to the z-score you are checking (as the upper limit of integration).

    This gives you the area under the standardized bell curve on the left side of a particular z-score.

    So, the probability that a random variable Z will be less than a given z-score, z, is:

    P(Z%26lt;z) = 鈭珄鈭掆垶鈫抸} e^(鈭抁虏) / 鈭?蟺) dZ

    The compliment of it is the area to the right.

    P(Z%26gt;z) = 1 鈭?P(Z%26lt;z)

    P(Z%26gt;z) = 鈭珄z鈫掆垶} e^(鈭抁虏) / 鈭?蟺) dZ

    If you havent taken integral calculus then its not expected for you to know where/how the tables are derived. And I would expect my answer to be over your head.

    Most calculators have statistics commands programmed in, anyway. So instead of having to integrate mathematically, you could just input your z-scores.

    Just know that the bell curve is drawn

    y = e^(鈭抶虏) / 鈭?蟺)

    Pick some value along the x-axis and call it a z-score. Draw a vertical line from the x-axis all the way up to the curve. Everything to the left of this line/z-score and above the x-axis and below the curve... that whole area... is what you get out of a z-score table.What is the formula for finding the values on a z-score table?
    The formula is discussed on the Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normal_dist鈥?/a>

(2) How much would re-felting service cost if the table is standard size and has been taken apart ( felt has been removed)? (3) If I choose to do it myself, where can I find instructions for how to put new felt on the table? This used table is being stored (in pieces) in our garage until we move to the new place which can accomodate it. Thanks!How can I get new felt for pool table?
    Buy professional pool table felt at a good sporting good store or online, just do a Google or Ebay search for pool table felt. Lot's of people sell it. It's a better grade than fabric store felt. For re-felting service, best deal is to find someone who's put one together themselves. I got mine at Sears and did it myself. With some good instructions, good spray adhesive (3M #77) you can do it yourself. Again, look online for a vhs tape of refelting instructions if you can't find anyone to do it. I would not pay $200 for the service. Find someone who's done it or find a good tape w/ instructions. It's not that hard. Cutting the pockets is the most difficult but not bad once you get the hang of it. Don't try it w/out good instructions.How can I get new felt for pool table?

    Sounds like you may have polish build up....=)

    To remove polish build-up, mix 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water. Rub furniture with a soft cloth that has been moistened with the solution. Dry immediately with a clean cloth.How do I get smudges off my wooden table?
    Try this...I have also used it to get those white circles out after setting a hot coffee cup down on table.

    Take a soft cloth ( not wash cloth ) place few drops of regular rubbing alcohol on it. Pat it to make sure it's not too wet...then lightly buff over the spot like you would do if you were buffing shoes. The spot should slowly vanish. You may need to use furniture polish after that to restore the shine. If it's not suppose to be shiny...take some very fine steel wool. Put some polish on it....lightly rub back and forth across the whole table ( going with the grain ) to put that satin sheen back on the top. You may have to do the entire table top to make it look uniform.

    You could attract people to your table by doing a raffle with a good prize or have a brief case with a little bit of money in it and have people guess how much on a piece of paper and the closest gets the case with money. That gets the people to your table but not necessarily interested in your product. Once they are at your table, you can have informational brochures and pamphlets or coupons for them, if they buy a package deal. You could have the people fill out their name and email/address when they do the raffle so afterward you can send direct mail to them with promotional information to increase sales in the future.

    I hope this helps.
    The above ideas can work as well.

    In addition try, grabbing a social friend or co-worker (prefer someone with knowledge in this car boot thing) that can round up some business for you. Their job would be to stand out in the crowd of walking people and casually converse long enough to direct them to your booth.

    Have extra chairs near your booth... Invite people to sit down.

    Do's:

    Stand up so people can see your booth is occupied.

    Wear acceptable clothing.

    Engage conversation with people looking at your booth

    Go around and see which booths are attracting a lot of attention. Visit them and see what's all the hype.

    Stand in front of your booth as much as possible trying to pull in business

    Try to get a booth near food/drink... that way you don't have to offer food or drink

    Do not:

    Don't sit in a chair in your booth.

    Don't ask ';Can I help you?'; Instead find what they are looking at and make comments on it.

    Don't waste yours or their time.

    Don't talk to your friends constantly... look for other people to talk to.

    Hope these help

    How to turn a kitchen table into a Kitchen island?

    I have bought a butcher block table (seats 6 )at a garage sale for dirt cheap ($20) and I want to use it as an island, but I dont want to buy expensive table legs to make it taller. Or at least what I have found is expensive.. like 40 a leg.. Any other money saving ideas for the legs?How to turn a kitchen table into a Kitchen island?
    Here's what I did:

    If it is an island, I assume you want to use it as a work surface as opposed to a dining table (although one could certainly eat there, too).

    Go to Lowes or Home Depot and inspect the ready-to-finish cabinets. You're looking for cabs that are dirty or defective in some way. Snap 'em up for $10 a piece or so. Other sources: Goodwill and similar places -yard sales, etc. These will become your base both to hold the table top (remove the legs) AND provide handy storage. Arrange the cabs so you have a lip of 6'; or more, if possible, so folks can sit up to it.

    If this makes the top high enough, then affix the bottom of the cabs either to a section of 1/2'; plywood or a frame of 1X6 sections of wood laid flat. Under that, attach large furniture sliders (smooth plastic things) so you can move your island around -use it as a buffet, for example. If NOT high enough, make a frame of 2X4's sitting on the edge to raise it up about 3 1/2';. You can cover that with plywood if you wish.

    You may not be able to find what you need right away, is just do some measuring to determine how high you need to lift the table top and how much length and width you're working with underneath. Keep those measurements handy, and when you see something that will do the job, snatch it up. Meanwhile, just use the table ';as is.';

    I actually made a complete rolling bar this way. In one place, it is a room divider; in another, a buffet line. Give me an email address, and I'll send you the pix. Total cost? Maybe $50 for EVERYTHING.How to turn a kitchen table into a Kitchen island?
    You'll need some sort of legs, so people can actually sit comfortably without knocking knees against a solid support.

    Try looking at a local antique furniture store. Sometimes you can find some 60's style funky legs for cheaper than 40.
    If you just want legs you can you stair posts instead. I watched an episode of take home handyman on TLC and they did that. They cut the part of the post that they wanted to the height they needed and bolted it to the inside corners the same way the old legs were attached. I think the stairway posts are cheaper then trying to order table posts from a furniture manufacturer.

    Also you can check local furniture stores and they may have tables that are broken beyond repair that you may be able to buythe legs off of for cheap. That would be more hit or miss but you may get lucky.

    How can I convert my indoor pool table for outdoor use?

    I got an old pool table from somebody for $200, but do not have enough room in my house to put it inside. I want to put it outside on my deck and was planning on using a cover and a tarp to protect it from the rain. I believe that table is solid wood with a slate top. Any more ideas to help increase the life of the table.How can I convert my indoor pool table for outdoor use?
    The frame and components of an outdoor table are generally metal. I regular indoor table would not last long outdoors arounf here (New England) due to the fact that they are constructed from materials that are sensistive the moisture and humidity.

    How to change the scollbar color of a scolling table in html?

    I have a table that scrolls. All I want to know is how do I change the scrollbar color of that scrolling table?

    So far, I have a table that has text and images in it, and it scrolls down. How do I make the scrollbar different colors? Not the scroll bars on the entire page, but the scrollbar of just that scrolling table.

    Thanks in advance!How to change the scollbar color of a scolling table in html?
    You do know that effect is only supported by IE and Maxthon browsers don't you?

    Free online scrollbar generators:

    http://www.myspacegens.com/handler.php?g鈥?/a>

    For the table that scrolls, you will have to set a CSS class for those scroll bars. Otherwise, the scrollbar code is going to put the colors on the main browser scrollbar.

    RonHow to change the scollbar color of a scolling table in html?
    You need to do this with CSS.

    You'll also need to give the table a class as well to stop it applying to the whole page.

    The coding for this is:-

    table.yourtableclassname {

    scrollbar-face-color:#006600;

    scrollbar-base-color:#003300;

    scrollbar-arrow-color:#FFFFFF;

    scrollbar-track-color:#9BC39B;

    scrollbar-shadow-color:#003300;

    scrollbar-highlight-color:#9BC39B;

    scrollbar-3dlight-color:#9BC39B;

    scrollbar-darkshadow-Color:#003300;

    }

    So in the table tag you need to apply class=';yourtablename';
    try this:

    please visit

    http://rainbow.arch.scriptmania.com/tool鈥?/a>

    and make a scroll bar of your own choice then generate CSS codes then copy the codes and paste them into CSS or html file.

    Make some changing in codes to be applied for your table only not for browser window.

    How to keep a table made of papers from fading in the sun?

    My father is making a table top covered with baseball tickets, concert tickets etc. . And he is going to have it outdoors and needs a way to keep it from fading from the sunlight. What can he use to keep it from fading? He has suggested polyurathain (sp?) but that might fade away too. It will have glass on the very top of the table. So what can we do?How to keep a table made of papers from fading in the sun?
    I also suggest using conservation glass, but you can also use the non-yellowing UVA/UVB Varathane polyurethane. I would use the spray paint type and many coats. The paint on type could soak into the paper and give you bleed through if there is printing on the backside of any particular item. You can also decoupage the items with 10-15 coats of decoupage medium and then seal it with the Varathane using another 3-5 coats. That should not only protect the print from fading, but also the paper from deteriorating as well.How to keep a table made of papers from fading in the sun?
    I would do the polyurathan but you would have to use several layers and make sure the first coat is dry before doing another
    For our interior artwork, we use archival (conservation) glass which filters out UVs. While this does an excellent job, anything exposed to the sun will eventually discolor....
    light a match to it,just a joke.
    Sorry, you can't! Too bad though! It sounds like a really cool project. The ink used to print ticket or baseball cards is not designed to withstand very much UV light and no coating you can apply will change that. Ever see a billboard along the highway faded so much it is hard to read? That ink is designed to withstand ths suns UV rays and even it has a limited life. You also may have hear that to keep photos safe and looking new the best way to store them is in a photo book (closed except at the moments you are looking at them). Don't give up though, from how you described it the table sounds like a conversation piece or a trip down memory lane. That being said I would suggest, making the surface of the table fold ontop of itself,a modern version of a english gaming table if you know what that is. The only time the cards will be exposed to the sun is during use. It is a much more complex process in building the table but it will accomplish what you want. Another thought, if you scan the images in your computer there are many places that can take those scans and transfer them to a variety of surfaces. I have seen people take pics of their pets and put the images on license plates, that may be a better option the your original images can be safely stored and if it fades get a new image created

    How did you introduce table foods to your baby?

    My 11 month old baby wont eat table foods. She seems to eat baby food from the jar without too many problems. But won't take table food. I've tried bananna, potatoes, chicken, and scrambeled eggs. Every time she does this whole drama gagging act and spits it out. The food is small enough for her to mash and swallow but she wont eat it. I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to compare her to others but it seems like she is behind other babies her age as far as eating goes.How did you introduce table foods to your baby?
    First, ask her doctor about it at her 1-year check-up. I hate that answer, but there could be something going on where she's really having trouble with it. If you have a Handy-Cam or something where you can easily take video to show the doctor, do that.

    What you might want to try in the meantime is to give her finger food. Let her feed herself instead of you feeding her. Cheerios. Small pieces of fruit (watermelon is great). Banana slice quarters. If she can put it in her mouth herself, it might help. You can also try letting her use her own spoon.

    My son has never been a fan of potatoes. Never cared for mashed potatoes as a baby either. Chicken might be a little tough to chew. My son didn't like scrambled eggs for a long time either. You might try hard boiled eggs, and give her the yolk only, cut into small pieces.

    There are my suggestions. Good luck.How did you introduce table foods to your baby?
    Its OK Mom, don't stress! baby food is very bland, as in yuck to me. maybe she just doesn't care for the added flavor. Try giving her something with no seasoning, like a plain mashed potato. If it doesn't work, no big deal. I promise she won't eat baby food when she goes to school!

    She is not behind she just likes what she likes.
    how about trying cheerios my daughter just turned ten months and at first i was afraid that would be to hard for her to eat but she does it fine.. maybe she just doesn't like the taste of the things you have tried so far or maybe she just needs more time.. if anything about her not wanting to eat the table foods worries you just call her pediatrician and I'm sure they will talk to you about it
    SOME KIDS Are NOT ADVANCE THEN OTHER BUT THATS NOT YOUR PROBLEM MAYBE YOU NEED TO TRY TO FIND SOMETHING SHE LIKES TRY FRIES,BREAD,OR HAND HELD FOOD. IT TAKE TIME SHE'LL GET TO IT WHEN SHE'S READY DON'T FORCE HER TRUST ME IN THE END YOU'LL WISH SHE WAS THAT LITTLE INFANT .(FINDING WHAT SHE LIKES IS VERY IMPORTANT) GOOD LUCK
    My daughter is 7 months and eats anything you put in her mouth.

    However, I would suggest 2 things, first start adding some of the bits of table food in with her normal foods, or try something that has a sugary taste. I think Montana started wanting table foods early on cause she had water and karo syrup from the time she was 4 weeks old. At least with the table food ';hidden'; in her baby foods she should want to try it more. Eat something like french fries in front of her and see if she'll open her mouth then. A lot of babies will try it that way cause they see you eating it.

    2nd, Gerber has the graduate things that look like cereal piece, they are flavored, and they are great for adding into her food because they disolve in their mouth. I'm sure by 10 months your daughter can chew but these help get rid of the extra gag reflex she seems to be having. that is why she is drama gagging and spitting it out. That or she just doesn't like what you are feeding her. Try cake icing. I know it sounds retarded, but try getting her to try the sweet stuff first then change her over to other grown up foods.

    If this doesn't help. I would recommend you talk to the Ped and see what they have to say. Maybe there is an underlying cause.
    If the baby food from the jar is pureed, and you are introducing mashed foods, it is very likely that your daughter doesn't like the confusing texture of mashed food. Most babies don't. Gerber Graduates finger foods (they come in a tall plastic jar, like Cheerios to go) are a great way to learn the pincer grasp and to introduce table food. They are made of rice flour and vege or fruit juice and they dissolve in the mouth almost immediately, unlike Cheerios which require mashing of the gums, so your daughter won't even get the chance to gag on the texture. My little guy loved the sweet potato ones. They aren't too sweet and in less than two days he learnt the pincer grasp and went right to feeding himself table food. But keep in mind, thinking of bland dry food that she can eat is a pain in the patootie. Relish the simplicity, there is no reason to be concerned about her development.
    If the baby really is hungry , she will eat it. But if she is waiting for the ';puree'; and gets it each time, she will keep rejecting the table food.

    Unfortunately, this can become problematic the longer it goes on. My neice was not ';made'; to eat table food and there she was at age 2 still having to have all her food mashed and pureed. She would literally eat only about 3 things, and they had to bring this food everywhere they went. She is to this day the fussiest eater EVER, and they cater to it by bringing her ';special'; food everywhere they go.

    I'm noot saying this will happen to you, but eating table food is certainly a step that the baby needs to master. I would suggest keeping trying, and when she does not accept it,, just wait a little bit and keep trying, because if you give in with the puree, she will wait you out everytime and it could be a long time before it changes.

    Try different things. My daughter really like a little bit of muffin. A real moist small piece , its a little sweet , but not too much. I also had good luck with soup, because it has all the different veggies and a little meat and pasta and its cooked nice and soft and has a good flavor. Best wishes. I'll bet there are some support blogs on the internet with people dealing with the same issue right now.
    i just gave her a little taste here and there when i was eating and she seemed interested in what i was eating. it's fun to watch their facial expressions when they taste it
    My daughter was picky as well but I started finally giving her table food as her only option. Mashed potatoes, mashed peas, carrots, eggs, mac %26amp; cheese, etc. Once she was hungry enough, she ate it. (This was within a day.)

    Your daughter just may not like the new texture of the foods so don't stop giving them to her when she refuses it.

    How to improvise a table for a Thanksgiving dinner?

    I live in an on-campus apartment on the 13th floor. I'm having about a dozen ppl over and I would love it if everyone could sit at the same table. I have enough room to set up a table that big, but no idea how to improvise one without having to buy one and truck it home on public transportation (which I'm pretty sure would be next to impossible) Thanks so much!How to improvise a table for a Thanksgiving dinner?
    buy a sheet of ply wood at the hardware store. preferably 3/4 inch thick. You could then prop it on end tables or get another one and cut it in half, run a 3/4 inch groove half way down each of the pieces and use this as a table base. The dudes at the hardware store should be able to advise you and or cut it for you!! This would then be a disposable table or you could keep it or give it to someone else.How to improvise a table for a Thanksgiving dinner?
    Go to the store and buy a book on magic. Then before the meal you can just cast a spell and have everything float in front of your guests. I think it will be a big hit.
    Remove your door and place it on some end tables or chairs. You can just sit where the door knob is as not to inconvenience anyone else.
    Card tables

    BUy one or two at a time if you need to bring home with you on the bus.

    You will need about six of them. Line them up three to a row and you should be able to seat your guests. If you have the rrom and want to give a bit more elbow room, buy 8 and put 4 to a row.

    Buy a big enough piece of felt to cover the tables together and then cover with your table cloth.

    It should look awesome and the tables are very sellable once you are done with them, and if you keep them, they are easily stored away in the back of closets or under beds.
    Rent one, and have it delivered.

    How do you clean a finished wood dining table?

    I have a finished wood dining table. It is a light color wood and I think it is maple. The thing is that with three kids (and no table cloth because it got torn a while back and was never replaced) I do have some sticky spots on the table. My family does use place mats at every meal and we do wipe up spills quickly. But these sticky spots are more towards the center of the table. I've tried wiping them down with a wet cloth to no avail and I don't want the wood to warp. Any ideas?How do you clean a finished wood dining table?
    If the substance on your table is oil soluble, you can use lemon oil on a soft rag and rub until the sticky area dissolves and is cleaned away. Finish by cleaning the entire table top with lemon oil and wiping it well to clean off the excess.

    You might also try Murphy's Oil Soap (a liquid just for cleaning wood.) It does an excellent job.

    Hopefully, the finish on your table has not been damaged by something that partially dissolved the finish leaving a sticky residue. If the lemon oil and Murphy Oil Soap do not clean the table top, you may have to refinish it. If the finish is damaged, you can try something like Formby's 'Refinisher' that partially dissolves the finish and allows you to clean the sticky areas and then reapply a new finish. This should be a last resort, however.How do you clean a finished wood dining table?
    Use mild soap and water. Follow up with Murphy's Oil Soap. And invest in a couple of tablecloths to use along with the placemats and hot pads.
    I use pledge natural beauty to clean just about everything, but if that doesnt work try murphy's oil soap
    Everyone has what I would say. Mild soap and water will not harm the table so long as it's not left to sit. Pledge is made for furniture and won't harm it either. Murphy's Oil Soap is one of the best products to use to preserve all wood.

    Do buy a couple of flannel backed table cloths for everyday use. You shouldn't have to worry about spills at every meal. Too much stress on both you and the kids.

    Oh, if you are doing a holiday meal and want a good cloth table cloth, take your oldest flannel one and cut it down so it just fits the table top, then put the cloth one over the top. No spills will reach the wood.

    I would not recommend that you do that. It requires special hinges and the top has to be cut and a special edge put on the cut edges with a router. How is the umbrella secured? The base should be heavy enough to prevent that. In any case, you could try some heavy duty tent stakes at each table leg to see if that helps. How to protect the finish on a dining table?

    I bought a dining table set from Cost Plus World Market 1 year ago. It's not the most high quality furniture. The wood is stained very dark/almost black. I've noticed that when cleaning the table with a damp cloth/paper, the color rubs onto the cloth, etc.

    Is there some kind of product I can buy at the hardware store to protect the top of the table, perhaps some kind of do it yourself sealer or something. Or should I use an acual furniture repair place to coat something on the table?

    thanks.How to protect the finish on a dining table?
    It sounds like it is not sealed correctly. You can buy a sealer at any hardware store and just brush it on like paint. Make sure you do it in good ventilation or take it outside, it will be smelly! Also it will dry best during less humid weather.How to protect the finish on a dining table?
    I would spray the top with a non-yellowing, UVB/UVA protecting polyurethane like Varathane. You will probably need several coats but it will seal it and keep the color from continuing to transfer. Of course, you could also protect it by having a sheet of glass cut to size like I did on my dining room table.
    Any wood polish such as Pledge will do the job. Its not a 1-time work but constant application on your table. And also to avoid direct contact of your hot dishes but use a linen or coaster. In case of stains, dab a little vinegar over the stain instead of rubbing on them strongly.
    You could get a piece of glass cut with polished edges to cover the table - then you don't have to worry about the finish ever. But, if you don't want to do that then you could clean it of any grime, dirt, etc. and then buy a furniture grade Lacquer, or polyurethane to coat it.
    The traditional sealer for shellac, lacquer, and natural varnish finishes is thinned white shellac. This basic sealer is simply a mixture of 1 part white shellac (4-pound cut) and 3 to 4 parts denatured alcohol. Shellac is suitable for most refinishing jobs, but it cannot be used with polyurethane varnish or with water or NGR (non-grain-raising) stains.

    Where shellac cannot be used, the easiest sealer is a commercial sanding sealer. Sanding sealer dries quickly and provides a very good sanding base; it can be used with varnish, shellac, or lacquer. If you plan to finish the piece with polyurethane varnish, read the label carefully; sanding sealer may not be compatible with polyurethane. Sealing is not necessary before finishing with a penetrating resin sealer.
    do you not like the color ?

    espically in cherry wood darker wood means older wich means higher quality

    if you dont sand off the finish and put a new finish on

    good luck

    Apply a few coats of `liquid plastic`. It has a lovely sheen. Good luck.
    you could also purchase a piece of glass from any glass/mirror company. they finish the edges so that they are rounded. i've done this for a desk and dresser that i painted. gives a nice finishing touch.

    How to copy table formatting in Word 2003 from a table to another table?

    I am using Word 2003 with data over multiple tables all requiring same formatting in terms of cell and column width. How do I copy the formatting from one table to another. I cannot paste the table over and over again.How to copy table formatting in Word 2003 from a table to another table?
    If you find an easy solution to this, I'd like to know about it. That said, this is relatively easy - it is just a round-about way of doing it.

    Create a macro to perform the same function (adjusting the width of the tables). Macros record what you do (exactly what you do - they can't think for themselves) and when you play the macro - it replicates the action.

    - FIRST THING - select a table

    - Start recording a macro (go to your Tools menu --%26gt; Macros --%26gt; Record new macro)

    - Give it a name, and assign the macro to a keyboard shortcut (click on the keyboard and press the shortcut key combination - eg. SHIFT + CTRL + G) press close/OK

    - NOW THE MACRO IS RECORDING, so do everything neatly and in order (I suggest writing down the steps and measurements before you try)

    - Right click on the table and go to table properties

    - Alter the table columns the way you want them to be, press OK to exit table properties

    - STOP THE MACRO by pressing the stop button or Tools --%26gt; Macro --%26gt; Stop recording

    Now you should be able to use the macro. Remember that macros can't think for themselves - so they don't know what table you want to have formatted. That is why you need to select the table FIRST and then use your shortcut key to perform the macro.

    This should work for you - I've used similar macros to apply shading to tables and alter cell margins.

    If you stuff it up, you can go to Tools --%26gt; Macros --%26gt; Macros and delete the macros that you've made.

    How do you repair a wood table chipped edge?

    I've got a dark wood coffeee table that has about a 1 inch wide edge chipped off of it. It's more than a gouge, but less than a chunk and would require filler/shaping to replicate the shape of the table edge. What is the best material to use and how do I ensure I match the color of the table?How do you repair a wood table chipped edge?
    what kind of wood is it? If you can't answer that don't do it your self. if it is a veiner on partical board or fiber board throw it away and buy another if it is an antique take it to a restoration expert. I would go to an woodworkers store buy a peice of drop of that kind of wood cut out a plug glue in another peice and then match the color stain. but baring expert workmanship min wax makes wax crayons that will match just about every color rub it in place then polish with a clean cotton cloth hard and fast enough to melt the wax

    How do I clean my breakfast table?

    Just recently I purchased a dark wood high ';bar table'; for a dining room table in a small apt. However, when I clean it with pledge and put the placemats on top the placemats seem to turn the table a lighter color. I think they are soaking in the pledge so I've tried to keep them off for a few hours to let the pledge set but it still happens. Does anyone know of any cleaners that will just ';clean'; dark wood not ';polish'; it?How do I clean my breakfast table?
    I use 1 teaspoon of olive oil mixed in 1/2 cup vinegar. It work very well on my pine furniture.How do I clean my breakfast table?
    A damp cloth.
    Wood will turn dark when exposed to light, particularly sunlight, even when it's finished. It has nothing to do with what you're using to clean it.

    I recently had hardwood floors installed and finished. I had stored a cabinet in a studio for 6 months while our house was being remodeled and part of it got exposed to sunlight every day. The part that got exposed was darker than the rest of the cabinet. I asked the floor guy about this and he said that I just had to leave the whole cabinet in a place where it got the same light, and it would eventually all become the same color again. Sure enough, it did after a couple of weeks.
    beeswax and orange oil by Howards. find it at home depot and other places like that.

    you might want to make some liners for your place mats. get some light weight felt and cut just smaller than your place mats.

    How do you make a beer pong table?

    I'm planning on having some football tailgates at my house this fall and I think a beer pong table would be a nice feature at such gatherings. I'd like to be able to use the 60'; round plastic table that I already have as the base for a board on which the game could be set up.

    Does anyone know what the standard size board is for beer pong tables?

    Also, are there any special prepartions in the process of making a beer pong table, such as sanding and/or priming?How do you make a beer pong table?
    The dimensions of the table can vary but it is generally accepted that it should be rectangular, long, and somewhat narrow. A standard 4x8 piece of plywood is long enough but you may want to cut a foot of width off of it. It all depends on what your house rules are. Its a good idea to seal it after you paint it to prevent any damage from excess liquids. Several coats of polyurethane should do. That will not prevent the board from warping though. You may want to build a 2x4 framing underneath it. You could probably just go to any hardware store and tell what your doing, they can help with the materials.

    Well back in my college days (only been out two years) we just used an old ping pong table, so I'd say thats the best size, but if round is all you have, go for it that, just split it in the middle and be creative, such as outlining the cups spots for the intial triangle. Another suggestion if you do make a rectangle wood table, waterproofing it is a must, so just follow instructions on waterproof prep before finshing
