I want to buy a 38'; by 38'; glass table top for my wood table so that I can keep it protected. Does anybody have an idea of how much that would cost?How much does a glass table top usually cost?

For that info the best thing to do is call you local glass supply place. They can recommend the thickness you need for that size (at least 1/4 inch) and give a price over the phone. If you want the edges polished that will be an additional expense. Pier One sells half-inch table tops in standard sizes if you want to start there. They are probably more expensive than glass from the supply store.
