How do you remove pledge stains from a wood table?

I have a dining room table thats between mahagony and cherry oak wood. Well i put a vinyl/plastic tablecloth over my table, but before that i had just put pledge on it. I had the tablecloth on there for about a month i say. Well i removed the vinyl cloth and now i have stains all over this fairly new table. Any suggestions on how to remove? How do you remove pledge stains from a wood table?
Yes you need to remove the excess wax with a solvent then reapply a new layer. I suggest you try methylated spirits (or you can use left-over spirit like vodka or gin), but a much better solvent is white spirit, which you can get from a hardware(DIY) store. Clean the entire surface with a cloth soaked with solvent do this once then turn the cloth and do a second time rubbing hard to remove old wax/polish. Leave to dry for min or two then reapply table polish
