Where can I Find a flat blade to attach a sanding disk to so my table saw becomes a disk sander? How do I turn my table saw into a disk sander?
You can get a belt / disc sander for about $220 from Grizzly or Harbor freight tools. As an ex-cabinet maker, missing two knuckles for 22 years, don't play with a table saw. Hey Don, Here's your sign!!How do I turn my table saw into a disk sander?
i would recommend a belt sander clamped to a work bench rather than a recipe for injury
not a good idea to many rpm
Craftsman makes an attatchment for their radial arm saw that does this, so I would think it is possible. Why not make your own. Just put an old plywood blade in the saw backwards, and file it smooth as the saw runs. Then you just need an adhesive disk to stick on your ';sanding blade';. Stick one on each side for double the life.
Try not to get hurt, but really...what is the worst that could happen? Flying sandpaper can leave a nasty paper cut.
You can get this attachment through woodworkers.com or Wiesel.com both wood workers supply.
If you have a drill press you can get a four inch drum, that works very well.
