How to improvise a table for a Thanksgiving dinner?

I live in an on-campus apartment on the 13th floor. I'm having about a dozen ppl over and I would love it if everyone could sit at the same table. I have enough room to set up a table that big, but no idea how to improvise one without having to buy one and truck it home on public transportation (which I'm pretty sure would be next to impossible) Thanks so much! How to improvise a table for a Thanksgiving dinner?
13 people is a lot. If you put 6 on each side and allow 1.5 feet for each one (very snug), the table would have to be 9' long. I hope they're all good friends.

You might need two. For each one, try a hollow-core door (see Lowe's, Home Depot, or some such) on two saw-horses. You could also use a piece of plywood between saw horses, but that could be tough to get into an elevator.

If people don't mind sitting on the floor Japanese style, you could use cinder blocks instead of saw horses. How to improvise a table for a Thanksgiving dinner?
How about a wallpapering table that you cover with nice cloth? As a student I used to do that.
use your imagination if you have a door you can make a table I have seen some people that set the door on a couple of trash cans then put a tablecloth and chairs and no one is the wiser. another thing to consider is asking a local church if you could borrow a table. If you go for the door idea and don't have an extra one around just take one down use it then put it back up. Plywood would work too but no way to transport. good luck
