How can you tell if a marbled table is damaged because of the weather?

I have a crack on my marbled table when my relocation company moved it in December/January. However, they are now denying the claim, stating that the crack was due to weather condition changes. Does anyone know anything about marbled tables (any URLs or info) and possibly where I can another professional quote(in the Seattle area)?How can you tell if a marbled table is damaged because of the weather?
With a picture I could answer you're question. I have seen tables go from Italy to Canada without a hitch. Bad manipulation from lack of knowledge is usually the cause. But lacquered tables have now been eliminated from our market because of such problems. Also because a marble cracked table is easily repaired, a marble lacquered table is impossible to repair. The color of the marble plays into this as well.How can you tell if a marbled table is damaged because of the weather?
The last time i know that marbled is a rock and if this is true rock will not crack due to cold weather, how think is it ? it looks to me that the mover,s did a bad moving job

and did not secure it in the truck, where was it loaded in the truck? if it was in the front it could got damage due to hard braking or just moving around , did they store your household goods or was it the same van that pick up your goods that delivered it? if not then some one damage it when unloading and reloading it. good luck
you shoulda used ';Two Men and a truck';
a lot of times, tables can get damaged as the wood ages, especially if it's wooden
