WD-40.
WD-40 is a household product usually used to lubricate doors and joints that creak but it also removes ink.
WD-40 has degreasing agents that break apart stains caused by ink and marker. Spray the areas with a thick layer of WD-40. Allow to sit for about a half an hour. Then wipe with a damp paper towel. You might have to repeat the procedure a few times to get all the ink out.
You can buy WD-40 at hardware stores.

VERY important: Test a small, inconspicuous areas first to make sure it doesn't harm the tables, but it shouldn't.
I do not recommend nail polish remover or even rubbing alcohol...these will dull the gloss finish of your tables. How do I get permanent marker off my kids table and my table?
A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. (MCME)
They are available virtually everywhere.
Just get the MCME wet an wring it out.
Rub lightly over the marks and they will disappear.
Rinse the MCME out and hang it to dry for future use.

Spray hairspray on it and scrub. Also, alcohol should work....I find hairspray easier though.

Those markers are nothing but trouble!!!
I'm hiding them or throwing them out and never buying any more. My input- Wonder if this breaking rules if so it's not intentional.
